Roland Sallai scored in both halves to give the visitors their first win away from home against England since a spectacular 6-3 victory at Wembley in 1953. In the 16th minute, Sallai started the carnage by controlling the ball on his knee following a miscued header from Stones and shooting beyond Aaron Ramsdale.
After Kalvin Phillips lost a tackle, Sallai scored his second goal in the 70th minute with a superb finish with the outside of his boot. Nagy chipped Ramsdale, and Gazdag drove a long-range strike into the corner to inflict anguish on England.
England captain Harry Kane recognized his side's second-half capitulation was "unacceptable," but encouraged fans to forgive them. Kane delivered some of England's few moments of excellence and hit the bar with a header.
